Choosing the best option for your Conservatory Doors
Conservatory Doors come in all shapes & sizes, but apart from enjoying the room itself, having great access to the garden is also important.
They type of door that you fit can make a big difference to how the room looks and functions.
Popular Design Options
Bi-fold or Multi-fold
From 2 up to 6 panel installation can open left, right & stack inside or out with the benefits of a very large clearance for the opening itself. They have minimal impact on the interior space of the room and can work well for small conservatories as well as larger rooms.
You can also use them as internal doors to separate the conservatory from the main house or even to separate other rooms such as living & dining areas.
The classic style of this door is one of “character” with the small glass panes and double door, centre opening configuration. If you fit them to open outwards then they have no impact on internal space.
As with bi-fold they have a great alternative use an internal door, but you need to decide which room they open into.
Using a sliding door has no impact on the internal space of the room as they move within the frame, but the slight flaw with this style is that you can only achieve a 50% clear opening with a 2 panel set because of the way the panels slide past each other.
You can choose left or right openers & for larger conservatories you can add more panels. Known for being secure, easy to use & maintain with some very low cost options.
